Abstract

Ȋn fiecare număr al Revistei de Studii Financiare actualizăm şi publicăm Indicele de Stabilitate Financiară (ISF) al institutului nostru de studii financiare care să urmărească corelaţia dintre creșterea economică şi factorii macroeconemici şi financiari din România. Am construit un indice compozit utilizând o combinație liniară de variabile economico-financiare cu impact semnificativ asupra activității economice. Aceste variabile sunt ponderate cu răspunsul impulsurilor (cumulate la două trimestre) asupra variaţiei PIB-ului, așa cum este estimat de modelul VAR. Dezvoltarea unui astfel de indice compozit de stabilitate financiară (sau de stres financiar) are două utilități principale: Analiza corelației dintre variabilele financiare și economia reală plasate în contextul diverselor perioade istorice de stabilitate (sau de criză) financiară. De asemenea, această analiză de corelație relevă, în fiecare perioadă, contribuția semnificativă (pozitivă sau negativă) a fiecărei variabile economico-financiare la creșterea economiei reale. În urma acestei analize, ISF poate măsura impactul măsurilor de politică economică și financiară asupra realităţii economice din România. Predicția pe termen scurt a evoluției ȋn următoarele patru trimestre a activității economice reale (PIBt + 1) utilizând datele din două trimestre anterioare privind PIBt și variabilele economico-financiare din compoziţia ISFt și coeficienții identificați în modelul VAR.
