Duração do desemprego do jovem brasileiro

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo é investigar os principais determinantes que afetam a transição do desemprego para o emprego e inatividade do jovem brasileiro. Utilizaram-se os dados trimestrais da PNAD Contínua entre os anos de 2012 e 2018 aplicando modelos não paramétricos e paramétricos para análise de sobrevida. Os resultados mostraram que os jovens enfrentam maior probabilidade de permanecem no desemprego, se comparados com o grupo adulto, mas se tiverem pós-graduação aumenta a chance de emprego. A situação dos jovens piora devido à falta de experiência no mercado de trabalho que se agrava com a atual crise econômica.
