Investimento estrangeiro direto: Greenfield, por fusões e aquisições, volatilidade e seus efeitos no crescimento econômico brasileiro

Abstract

Neste artigo avaliou-se os efeitos do IDE no crescimento econômico brasileiro entre 1996 e 2018, considerando três aspectos: as condições locais do Brasil, as duasmodalidades de IDE, que são via greenfield e por fusões e aquisições (F&As), e suavolatilidade. Para cumprir esse objetivo utilizou-se o modelo econométrico SVAR.Os resultados mostram que o IDE sozinho não influencia o crescimento brasileiro.No entanto, as condições locais potencializam seus efeitos positivos. Verificou-setambém, que o IDE via greenfield exerceu impacto positivo no crescimento brasileiro. Por outro lado, o efeito do IDE por F&As e da volatilidade do IDE foram nulos.
