Determinantes da Produtividade: Análise do Impacto do Índice GCI e seus Componentes sobre a PTF

Abstract

Este trabalho buscou investigar os principais determinantes da produtividade. Para tanto, foram construídas medidas da Produtuvudade Total dos Fatores (PTF) e analisou-se o impacto, sobre esta variável, do Global Competitiveness Index (GCI), de seus subíndices e dos 12 pilares de competitividade que compõem esses subíndices. Os principais resultados são: os pilares “infraestrutura”, “ambiente macroeconômico” e “desenvolvimento do mercado financeiro” afetam positivamente a PTF, enquanto a “capacidade de absorção tecnológica” apresentou efeito negativo sobre a mesma; os subíndices apresentaram poucos resultados significantes; e um ponto adicional no GCI está relacionado a um crescimento de 21% na produtividade.
