Corrupção municipal e Efeitos do Alinhamento Político com o Governo Federal nas Eleições e nas Condenações

Abstract

O presente trabalho se propõe a investigar se a posição partidária do chefe do executivo municipal teria alguma influência na probabilidade de condenação em um processo motivado por desvios de recursos públicos. Foram utilizados dados relativos aos 851 municípios de Minas Gerais, entre os anos de 2000 a 2008. As informações foram obtidas a partir de diversas fontes oficiais e públicas, a exemplo dos tribunais de justiça, ministério público e tribunais de contas. Para estimativa dos modelos, foram utilizados o Modelo de Probabilidade Linear (MPL), o Probit e o Logit.
