Abstract

Managers of University Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) play a crucial role in disseminating entrepreneurial ecosystems and managing the innovation policies of higher education institutions (HEIs). This study aimed to examine the role of these managers in the transition from a traditional university model to a culture centered on entrepreneurship. This research employed a qualitative and descriptive approach, utilizing multiple case studies. Data collection was conducted with seven universities in Paraná, involving interviews with 36 managers associated with the institutions’ innovation agencies. The findings reveal two key points: (1) theuniversities studied have either undergone or are currently undergoing a cultural shift toward an entrepreneurship-focused model, and (2) the role of innovation agency managers has been pivotal in challenging established paradigms and laying the groundwork for a culture of innovation.
