Pragmatist analysis of organizations

Abstract

The article presents a modality of organizational analysis of a critical nature, which has been builtin Brazil since 2010 and is based on philosophical and sociological pragmatism. After clarifying itsontological, epistemological, and ethical-political foundations, the articles presents theoretical positionson organizations, management, use of models, and integration of levels of analysis. Examples of itsapplication are also presented, detailing studies carried out. As a result of the work, it contributes toorganizational studies with an analytical approach that privileges action, adopts the concept of collectiveaction, integrates levels of analysis, and offers a critical approach centered on the Brazilian reality, infavor of social transformation, democracy, and social justice.
