Abstract

In connection with the anniversary of the Institute of Economics, the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (70 years since the start of the academic economic research in the Urals and 40 years of the Institute’s functioning), the history of formation of economic research is presented. Particular attention is paid to the evolution of spatial concepts in the field of administrative-territorial planning and allocation of productive forces, interregional cooperation, infrastructure priorities formation
