Innovazione e policentrismo nell'Arco latino mediterraneo: un'immagine di sintesi

Abstract

Il tema del policentrismo rappresenta oggi uno dei nodi fondamentali alla base del dibattito sulla pianificazione territoriale dello spazio europeo; in particolare, il concetto pu? costituire la chiave di lettura per lo studio dei fenomeni territoriali legati all?innovazione tecnologica. Il contributo1 analizza i rapporti fra il potenziale tecnologico e l?organizzazione gerarchica/policentrica dei sistemi locali territoriali operanti nei settori a elevata tecnologia. La ricerca, condotta con riferimento all?Europa Sud-occidentale, ha permesso di delineare una gerarchia dei sistemi locali sulla base della dotazione di funzioni legate all?innovazione tecnologica, alla ricerca scientifica e al milieu produttivo. I risultati dell?analisi hanno permesso di pervenire a un quadro generale del potenziale innovativo dell?Europa meridionale e alla formulazione di alcune ipotesi circa le potenzialit? e le dinamiche tecnologiche in atto, le possibili strategie di sviluppo locale nonch?, pi? in generale, circa i legami fra lo sviluppo territoriale policentrico e l?innovazione tecnologica.
