Rural communities and wind farms: a contingent valuation investigation

Abstract

Questo studio analizza, utilizzando il metodo della valutazione contingente, le preferenze delle comunit? locali circa l?installazione di un parco eolico progettato in Provincia di Roma. Gli autori stimano la riduzione della bolletta elettrica che i cittadini sono disposti ad accettare come compensazione per l?installazione delle turbine eoliche. I risultati mostrano che gli intervistati che credono che il parco eolico potrebbe generare degli impatti negativi sulla bellezza del paesaggio richiedono delle riduzioni maggiori degli altri, mentre, coloro che si aspettano che l?installazione delle turbine eoliche potrebbe generare dei benefici per le comunit? locali, per esempio nuovi posti di lavoro, richiedono delle riduzioni minori degli altri. Per concludere, gli autori mostrano anche che le preferenze degli intervistati sono fortemente influenzate dalle caratteristiche socio-economiche degli stessi, per esempio dall?et? e dal livello di educazione.
