Abstract

In questo articolo proponiamo un?analisi ragionata della struttura della filiera del sistema di gestione dei rifiuti urbani in Italia, che ricostruisce le quote di mercato dei diversi operatori e i regimi istituzionali che mettono tra loro in relazione le diverse fasi della filiera. Ne emerge un quadro rappresentato da una crescente concentrazione e una progressiva maggiore apertura al mercato, che tuttavia richiede un appropriato disegno regolatorio per poter sfruttare al meglio i benefici della concorrenza.
