Note: [English Title] The Effect of Organizational Innovation on ICT Adoption of Business Enterprises: The case of Turkey [English Abstract] The aim of this study is to investigate the firm level determinants of ICT adoption by the Turkish business enterprises. These factors which are commonly used in adoption literature, include organization size, foreign share, internationalisation, internal and external R&D, organisational innovation, and environmental factors. Only a few papers have attempted to analyze the role of organisational innovation in ICT adoption. This study aims to fill this research gap in the literature. We used firm level data collected by Turkish Statistical Institute (TUİK, 2008a; 2008b). The data for this study consists of 989 firms in manufacturing and services sectors. This study has two main findings. First, organization size play a crucial role in adopting advanced technologies. Second, the effect of organisational innovation on ICT adoption is positive only for computer usage. [English Keywords] ICT, adoption, business enterprises, technology, Turkey.
