    Note: [Turkish Title] Not available [Turkish Abstract] Keynezyen Ekonominin mikroekonomik temelleri ve amprik çalışmaların bu teorileri destekleyip desteklemediği konusu son yıllarda iktisat teorisinin odak noktasını oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmanın temel konusu da budur. Ücret düşürme emek maliyetini azaltıcı bir unsur olmasına rağmen firmalar durgunluk döneminde ücret azaltma yoluna gitmemektedirler. Firmaların resesyon dönemlerinde neden bu tür uygulamalara başvurmaktan kaçındıkları konusunda birçok teori geliştirilmiştir. Son 20 yılda emek piyasalarının bu yönü ile ilgili çalışmalar iktisat teorisine önemli katkılar saglamıştır.
