Análisis de la estructura de mercado de las sociedades de la cadena productiva de calzado en Ecuador

Abstract

El objetivo del estudio es identificar la estructura de mercado de las sociedades productoras y comercializadoras de calzado en el Ecuador a partir del cálculo de cuatro índices de concentración, y un análisis de correspondencia múltiple para medir el aporte de cada índice a la concentración para cada una de las actividades que forman parte de la cadena productiva del calzado. Los resultados muestran que, las sociedades presentan una estructura de mercado de poca concentración a nivel general, pero al correlacionar las medidas de concentración se evidencia un poder de mercado de las cuatro empresas más representativas en función del ingreso por ventas. Los indicadores más significativos son: dominancia (ID) y cuatro mayores empresas (CR4).
