Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza la productividad en las clases de actividad que producen los bienes de la canasta básica, conjuntamente con la evolución de los precios. Se demuestra que al haber estabilidad de precios no se han generado ganancias de productividad que posibiliten el aumento del salario real, lo cual genera deterioro en los niveles de vida de los trabajadores. Se concluye con una reflexión acerca de la conveniencia de realizar políticas expansivas en las actividades que proveen los bienes de la canasta básica.
