Abstract

The work presented here is not a research article in the strict sense. It is a review of a special issue of the journal Ekonomiaz. This issue is dedicated to the researcher Victoria Ateca, who devoted her research to the Economics of Culture across various fields. Her colleagues and friends, Juan Prieto and Arantza Ugidos, coordinated the issue. The result is a collection of articles by specialists in the Economics of Culture, as well as colleagues and friends, presenting a diversity of perspectives and methodologies. The articles cover topics ranging from classic issues such as cultural participation to the evaluation of cultural policies and aspects related to different audiences. An article is also included that examines the labor market from the supply side, analyzing aspects of quality of life and well-being of workers in the cultural sector. The resulting issue is a valuable reference point for current research in the Economics of Culture.
