Study Of Intermolecular Interaction In 0.1m Aqueous Solution of Ranitidine Hydrochloride at Different Temperatures by Ultrasonic Interferometer

Abstract

Quantification of ultrasonic velocity and its associated properties in liquid solutions plays a vital role in analyzing the physicochemical properties of the solution. Ultrasonic studies provide valuable insight into molecular interactions and organizational behaviour of pharmaceutical compounds in solution. In the present investigation, an ultrasonic interferometer performing at a 2MHz frequency was employed in order to evaluate the ultrasonic velocity of Ranitidine Hydrochloride solutions at different temperatures (298.15°K, 303.15°K, & 308.15°K) at a 0.1 M concentration. A number of sonic parameters, comprising relaxation time, adiabatic compressibility, acoustic impedance, and intermolecular free length, were estimated from experimentally obtained density, ultrasonic velocity, and viscosity data. Results obtained from Acoustical and Thermodynamical properties are expressed with respect to molecular interaction in the solution of Ranitidine Hydrochloride (aqueous).
