Natural Polymer-Based Microsphere Drug Delivery System: Comprehensive Review

Abstract

Microspheres made of proteins and synthetic polymers that flow freely like powder. These have a particle size of less than 200um and are naturally biodegradable. Microspheres are multiparticulate drug delivery systems made of both synthetic and natural materials. In addition to their extended release, microspheres have drawn a lot of interest for their ability to target anticancer medications. Microspheres will play a key role in innovative drug delivery in the future by combining a variety of other techniques, especially in diseased cell sorting, diagnostics, gene and genetic materials, safe, targeted, and efficient in vivo delivery, and supplements as tiny replicas of the body's diseased organs and tissues.
