Abstract

In conventional systems, customers often face long queues and delays at billing counters due to manual barcode scanning and payment procedures. To overcome these challenges, this project introduces an automated self-billing system that allows customers to independently scan products, generate bills, an make digital payments through a mobile application. The proposed system integrates technologies such as IoT, RFID, barcode scanning, and wireless communication to provide a seamless and efficient shopping experience. Each product in the mall is tagged with an RFID or barcode, which can be scanned using the app. The details of the scanned products, including name, price, and quantity, are automatically updated in the cart, and the total bill is calculated in real-time. Customers can view, edit, or remove items from their cart anytime during shopping. Once shopping is completed, payment can be made directly through secure digital gateways, eliminating the need for manual billing counters. This smart billing system not only reduces human effort and billing time but also minimizes errors and enhances customer satisfaction. It enables real-time data synchronization with the store database for inventory management and provides a paperless, cashless, and efficient transaction environment. Overall, the Self Billing App for Payment in Malls offers a modern, user-friendly, and reliable solution that enhances the retail shopping experience by combining automation, accuracy, and convenience.
