Abstract

Vegetables are staple food across the world and fundamental part of agriculture. Vegetables play vital role in human diet as they are cheapest source of proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates and essential macro and micro nutrient. Marathwada is major pocket of vegetable crop production. These vegetable crop producers have facing problem of different disease and environmental stresses among them Fusarium wilt disease is a one of the most problematic and destructive major threat to the vegetable crop growers. Considering all these accepts present investigation was made on isolation of different vegetable wilt field survey, reveled that the disease was highly prevalence in the field with the disease incidence was in the range of 10 to 60 %. During 2022-2023 incidence of Fusarium wilt were observed from vegetable crop were recorded rabi and kharif seasons from Marathwada region in different tahsils under five districts such as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Nanded and Dharashiv. This investigation total 16 Fusarium species were isolated among 42 isolates. During the study of genetic diversity of Fusarium species, infected vegetable samples were collected from different environmental conditions. It was found that the different isolates from different localities were shows the morphological as well as genetic diversity among each other. The genetic variability in the Fusarium isolates may be due to difference in geographical and environmental conditions. The ITS primer analysis found diversity among Fusarium isolates at molecular characterization.
