Study on Gujarati Newspaper and Its Importance During Covid-19 Period

Abstract

The study aims to analyse and study the importance of Gujarati papers for the COVID period. The collected news articles are examined by performing the ANOVA. The analysis is performed the change in the emotions aroused from news articles by age, education and occupation demographic variables. The outcome regarding the coronavirus period reveals that the focus of the papers was mostly on politics, crime, and economy whereas, in the post coronavirus period, the papers are focusing more on publishing the news related to disseminating the awareness about the coronavirus disease. The priority of news includes the active number of cases, medical facilities, and COVID-19 testing. The outcome reveals that negative sentiments are prominent in the coronavirus period due to fear of the outbreak of the virus.
