Abstract

Combinatorische optimaliseringsproblemen zijn problemen waarbij uit een eindig (doch groot) aantal mogelijke oplossingen een beste oplossing gevonden dient te worden. Het snel vinden van een zo goed mogelijke oplossing is een uitdagende onderzoeksvraag. In dit artikel worden een aantal voorbeelden van dergelijke problemen uit de praktijk behandeld, en wordt aangegeven hoe oplossingsmethoden voor combinatorische problemen kunnen helpen bij het bereiken van een efficiënte bedrijfsvoering.
