Lecturas de paisaje: análisis de intervenciones turísticas en el casco histórico de São Luís (Maranhão, Brasil)

Abstract

Las lecturas del paisaje se realizan repensando las marcas que la historia ha dejado en los espacios de la ciudad y con ellas, interpretando y produciendo nuevas concepciones sobre la naturaleza, paisaje y la ciudad. El objetivo es analizar el paisaje urbano y cultural de la Avenida Pedro II situada en el casco histórico de São Luís (Maranhão, Brasil) cuanto las intervenciones turísticas. Se caracteriza por su carácter cuantitativo y cualitativo, exploratorio, bibliográfico, documental y empírico. En los últimos cinco años se han identificado algunas intervenciones turísticas en el paisaje urbano que cambian las percepciones del paisaje local debido a acciones relacionadas con turismo, cultura, ocio, circulación de personas, artesanía, comida y bebidas, alojamiento, espacios institucionales y religiosos, analizando cómo influye cada uno de ellos en el paisaje. Se concluye que, con el tiempo, el paisaje de la Avenida Pedro II ha cambiado como resultado del turismo y de algunas políticas públicas de preservación a nivel federal, estatal y municipal.
