El enfoque de redes aplicado a los destinos turísticos: de la competencia a la concurrencia para la mejora de la competitividad

Abstract

Los destinos turísticos se comportan como sistemas de redes sociales en los que el resultado final es exponencialmente superior a la suma de la actuación de los agentes que lo integran. El objetivo de este artículo es comprender la naturaleza de los destinos turísticos, aplicando el enfoque de redes a la estructura de los destinos turísticos y a las interacciones entre sus componentes. De esta forma se plantea la necesidad de la evolución del modelo de competencia hacia la concurrencia entre los actores que lo integran para mejorar su competitividad global.
