O Crescimento das Online Travel Agencies: Um estudo sobre a BOOKING.COM

Abstract

A internet chegou proporcionando mais agilidade e facilidade com novos modelos de negócios, entre eles as Online travel agencies (OTA), que trouxeram uma nova dinâmica ao mercado turístico. O objetivo proposto é compreender a emergência das Online Travel Agencies (OTA) por meio do caso da empresa Booking.com e seu relacionamento com seus parceiros. Este artigo apresentará a história da Booking.com, através de estudo de caso por fontes secundárias, com análise financeira da empresa no Brasil pelo balanços patrimoniais e demonstrativo de resultado do exercício de 2014 a 2017. Também procura mostrar a dinâmica do seu relacionamento com seus parceiros e o posicionamento adotado por alguns países em relação a esta cláusula. O resultado da análise financeira da Booking.com apresentou uma ótima performance de crescimento, com uma pequena queda nos resultados em 2015 e 2016 e recuperação em 2017.
