Una mirada a la reactivación de empresas turísticas de Portoviejo-Ecuador después del terremoto del 16A

Abstract

El presente artículo tuvo como objetivo realizar un análisis que permita conocer el proceso de reactivación de los establecimientos turísticos del casco urbano de Portoviejo al cumplirse 3 años del terremoto del 16 de abril de 2016, así como determinar el estado actual de las empresas dedicadas a este ramo. Para cumplir con tal propósito, se empleó cohesionadamente el enfoque cuantitativo y el cualitativo, lo que permitió la aplicación de técnicas e instrumentos desde ambas visiones. Es así como, desde lo cuantitativo se seleccionó una muestra de 48 establecimientos turísticos y se aplicó la técnica de la encuesta a los propietarios haciendo uso de cuestionario, mientras que, desde lo cualitativo, se escogieron 2 informantes clave, uno del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal (GAD) de Portoviejo y el otro del Ministerio de Turismo del Ecuador.
