Turismo y Paisaje: caminando hacia la sostenibilidad y responsabilidad social

Abstract

La noción de patrimonio (natural y cultural) ha evolucionado en la misma medida que la sensibilidad social hacia al paisaje. Diferentes investigadores concluyen que el paisaje es una de los mayores activos económicos del territorio y que sin paisaje no hay turismo. De ahí, la importancia de contar con paisajes de cierta calidad, y saber gestionarlos de una forma racional e inteligente. Tanto en cuanto, los paisajes son recursos muy frágiles, cualquier modificación o desequilibrio podría involucrar la pérdida de su valor paisajístico como recurso turístico. En este artículo reflexionamos sobre la relación entre turismo y paisaje en el marco de la sostenibilidad. Además, exponemos tres ejemplos que nos permitan visualizar la importancia del turismo como un componente dinamizador económico, social y ambiental del territorio. Finalmente, sugerimos pautas básicas para crear destinos turísticos sostenibles que pongan en valor el paisaje.
