Una revisión crítica sobre modelos de predicción para la demanda turística

Abstract

El pronóstico es una herramienta básica para la toma de decisiones, y más, cuando se habla de turismo, haciéndose necesaria para la planificación y de este modo lograr una integración en las cadenas productivas, ya que la actividad turística se considera como una de las mayores actividades socioeconómicas que engloba muchos otros sectores tanto de producción o servicio. El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo establecer la evolución de la concepción del turismo, caracterizar los distintos tipos de pronóstico de demanda y presentar los diferentes modelos de series temporales más usado para la predicción de la demanda turística en cuestión.
