Dinámicas espaciales, sociales y culturales: el turismo en Malinalco (México)

Abstract

Entre los impactos del turismo están los cambios que tienen lugar en el territorio, la expansión urbana y la renovación residencial. En este artículo se aborda dicho tema, así como el fomento del turismo por parte de los gobiernos y la mirada positiva de la población, entre otras cosas. Todo ello se centra aterriza en el caso de Malinalco, una localidad turística del Estado de México, ubicada en el centro del país. La información se obtiene de documentos, así como entrevistas a autoridades y a personas de cierta edad, además de una encuesta general entre la población local. Se observa cómo hay algunas miradas críticas en cuanto a las transformaciones en la dinámica urbana territorial, no obstante, predomina una visión positiva del turismo como fuente de empleo y forma de vida.
