Desarrollo de un modelo de resiliencia para destinos: el caso de Ecuador

Abstract

El presente trabajo utiliza el modelo de Adaptación Turística Regional (RTAF por sus siglas en inglés) para hacer frente al cambio climático de los destinos turísticos propuesto por Jopp et al., (2013) como fundamentación teórica para el desarrollo de un modelo de resiliencia para los destinos turísticos en países en vías de desarrollo. El principal objetivo del estudio fue elaborar un modelo de resiliencia que permitiera identificar riesgos y desarrollar estrategias de adaptación para el sector turístico ecuatoriano, con miras a aumentar la resiliencia del destino y contribuir a la sostenibilidad general del país. Para el desarrollo y aplicación del modelo de resiliencia se llevó a cabo un estudio cualitativo mediante recopilación documental usando análisis de contenido y consulta con expertos.
