Abstract

O presente trabalho apresenta uma investigação sobre as motivações que levam os turistas a viajarem para participar de competições fora de seus locais de residência, a fim de analisar o funcionamento do segmento de Turismo Esportivo, em especial o Turismo de Corrida de Rua. Para esta pesquisa, questionários foram aplicados a participantes de corridas de rua com o objetivo de possibilitar uma interpretação entre a percepção de cada corredor sobre a prática esportiva e, ao mesmo tempo, turística. A partir dos resultados obtidos, foi possível observar que o fator motivacional é o percurso e o que ele tem de diferente para oferecer ao longo da prova, com a possibilidade de viver uma experiência turística tanto fora quanto dentro da própria cidade.
