Reincorporación de emprendedoras al sector turístico: Determinantes y barreras

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza la decisión de emprender por parte de emprendedoras que han abandonado una iniciativa empresarial previamente. Para ello, se analiza una muestra de 250 antiguas emprendedoras que han emprendido en el sector turístico en el período 2007-2013. La base de datos utilizada se ha creado a partir del Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM). La metodología ha consistido en un análisis univariante y multivariante mediante modelos probit y logit en una muestra emparejada. Los resultados obtenidos señalan que la percepción de oportunidades, la autopercepción y la buena consideración social de la carrera emprendedora son factores que favorecen la reincorporación de estas emprendedoras en el sector turístico. Por el contrario, se ha obtenido que la edad y la existencia de estudios universitarios reducen la propensión a emprender en el sector turístico tras haber abandonado una iniciativa empresarial.
