Privatización de los recursos naturales turísticos y su impacto en la redistribución de las rentas en pequeñas comunidades

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta una investigación sobre la privatización de un recurso natural y su impacto en la distribución de las rentas que genera el ecoturismo en una pequeña comunidad. El recurso natural se ubica en el corredor ambiental «Llanganates-Sangay» de la zona centro de Ecuador, la gran afluencia de turistas que visita el lugar constituye una oportunidad para el desarrollo local colectivo, sin embargo, actualmente sus dos accesos se encuentran monopolizados. El caso de estudio se centra en un acceso y analiza las rentas que producen las actividades de ecoturismo en torno al recurso natural, concluyendo en un análisis comparativo del porcentaje de ingresos que corresponde a cada sector en relación al total.
