Manejo turístico de islas sudamericanas. Un estudio de las Islas Galápagos y el Archipiélago de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina

Abstract

El presente trabajo tienen cono objetivo determinar el manejo turístico por dos archipiélagos sudamericanos, las Islas Galápagos y el Archipiélago de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina, quienes exponen los diferentes planes de manejo turísticos y de conservación que se efectúan en ambos. Se hace un estudio cualitativo de las políticas ambientales y territoriales de ambas localidades con un enfoque en la potenciación de recursos naturales. En este sentido, la UNESCO ha reconocido a las Islas Galápagos como Patrimonio de la Humanidad, y al Archipiélago de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina, como Reserva de la Biósfera Sea flower. Se obtuvo como resultado que en ambas islas, existe una indebida administración y carencia de capacitaciones para la consecución de actividades turísticas, lo que ha llevado a desarrollar políticas para la protección de las especies y la conservación sostenible de los ecosistemas.
