Abstract

O livro Turismo e Museus, escrito por Camilo de Mello Vasconcellos (doutor em história Social pela USP e educador do Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da USP), faz parte da Coleção ABC do Turismo, da Editora Aleph, cujo objetivo é elencar assuntos pertinentes ao setor de turismo de forma dinâmica e sucinta, utilizando-se de linguagem acessível, além de uma formatação suave e de fácil entendimento. A obra em questão foi lançada em São Paulo, no ano de 2006, contendo 79 páginas, das quais são divididas em três capítulos: 01. De casa das musas à instituição pública: o longo itinerário dos museus; 02. Museus e turismo: uma relação possível; 03. Os museus e o turismo no Brasil. O exemplar também conta com bibliografia comentada que possibilita melhor entendimento do material de pesquisa utilizado pelo autor para a construção do livro.
