Programas de certificación internacional para PYMES de turismo alternativo en México

Abstract

El turismo es uno de los motores de desarrollo más importantes de México, sin embargo es notable el deterioro ambiental que ha provocado a través del turismo masivo; por lo que se vislumbra al turismo alterativo como una opción para combatir los efectos negativos del turismo tradicional y el fomento de las economías locales. Si bien el turismo alternativo adopta la práctica de actividades sustentables, las empresas dedicadas a este ramo no cuentan con un respaldo frente a las necesidades de los mercados globales. La mayoría de la planta turística consiste de pequeñas y medianas empresas, por lo que es pertinente explorar los beneficios de las certificación turísticas como distintivos frente a la competencia de los mercados internacionales, proporcionando herramientas para la mejor gestión de las empresas y beneficios financieros para las mismas.
