Abstract

Considerado como una de las principales destinaciones turísticas brasileñas, el archipiélago de Fernando de Noronha no es el paraíso presentado en la prensa, websites turísticos e tampoco en las acciones de promoción direccionadas a la comercialización. Utilizando el materialismo-histórico como método de análisis, esta investigación ha identificado que el turismo es la fuente, entre otras cosas, de cuestiones como a migración de los isleños en dirección al Continente así como es responsable por la precarización de condiciones de habitación. En este sentido, se apunta para la posibilidad de que, siguiendo de esta manera, va a haber una desestructuración de las relaciones sociales, el agotamiento del poder local y, por fin, la constitución de un no-lugar.
