TURISMO COOPERATIVO: Discussão conceitual e análise qualitativa da cooperativa inter-étnica Cooptur - Cooperativa Paranaense de Turismo

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo é apresentar uma discussão conceitual sobre turismo cooperativo, uma vez que o termo vem sendo usado de maneira incoerente em diversos estudos da área, na maioria das vezes se referindo a formas de turismo que não apresentam processos cooperativos ou associativos, requisitos mínimos desta tipologia. Aliado a discussão conceitual apresenta-se um exemplo de desenvolvimento turístico cooperativo, organizado por comunidades étnicas situadas na região dos Campos Gerais do Paraná (Brasil). A partir do ano de 2004 estas comunidades se integraram e formaram a Cooptur – Cooperativa Paranaense de Turismo, a qual tem como objetivo organizar a oferta turística e auxiliar na promoção do turismo, tanto intracomunidade como intercomunidades. Esta pesquisa se caracterizou como qualitativa, e teve como procedimentos metodológicos: a) pesquisa bibliográfica com vistas a estruturar a discussão sobre turismo cooperativo; b) pesquisa bibliográfica e documental para levantar dados sobre a Cooptur; c) entrevistas em profundidade nas comunidades étnicas para compreender como é desenvolvido o turismo cooperativo, suas características e resultados alcançados.
