Notas sobre o tempo livre em Theodor W. Adorno

Abstract

Este ensaio objetivou apreender algumas reflexões presentes em Theodor W. Adorno para se pensar o lazer e o consumo do tempo livre nas sociedades contemporâneas. Fundamentalmente a partir das discussões acerca da semi-formação (Halbbildung), da indústria cultural (Kulturindustrie) e do tempo livre (Freizeit), entende-se o lazer como um fenômeno indissociável do espírito de nosso tempo, marcado, segundo Adorno, pela heteronomia cultural, pela transformação do homem em estatuto de coisa e pela ideologia como propaganda do mundo. Assim, este sucinto escrito pretende expor algumas contribuições de Theodor W. Adorno para a construção de uma teoria crítica do lazer, discutindo especificamente a semiformação cultural, o tempo livre como prolongamento do trabalho e a indústria cultural como ideologia e propaganda do mundo, buscando inferir de que forma esses três debates podem contribuir para o entendimento das formas plurais de vivência do lazer nas sociedades atuais, marcadas pelo avanço do capitalismo sobre a cultura de tal forma que a tornou uma mercadoria aos olhos do chamado Mundo Administrado (verwaltete Welt).
