Abstract

La connotación de "destino turístico sostenible" hoy en día implica ser capaces de ofrecer servicios competitivos en un mercado condicionado por una demanda cada vez más atenta a la calidad de la experiencia turística. Esto hace necesario innovar y diferenciar bajo el vínculo estricto de la sostenibilidad declinada en todos sus componentes: económico, ambiental y, sobre todo, social. Si la preservación de un cierto nivel de competitividad depende de la búsqueda de la sostenibilidad, para entender lo que es sostenible para una comunidad hay que recrear un "puente" entre el desarrollo turístico y las necesidades locales en términos de calidad de vida y well-being. En este artículo se va a proponer una reflexión sobre la importancia del diálogo social como herramienta para el monitoreo territorial. A través de un caso de estudio específico, se subrayará como la búsqueda de la sostenibilidad en ámbito turístico tenga que pasar por la construcción y el mantenimiento de un diálogo democrático entre todos los actores interesados ​​en el proyecto de desarrollo del turismo, fomentando la cooperación y la comunicación entre ellos para llegar a una lectura correcta de las prioridades del territorio, y para la armonización de las necesidades y expectativas de las comunidades locales, como condiciones necesarias para mantener la competitividad del destino en el medio y largo plazo e iniciar "nuevas temporadas" para el desarrollo turístico.
