SOCIOLOGIA DEL NO SHOW EN ORGANIZACIONES TURISTICAS. El uso de TICS y la confianza

Abstract

Si bien por un lado, los no show generan grandes perdidas para la industria turística, no menos cierto es que algunos sectores han adoptado la aplicación de multas y honorarios por las vacantes que les quedan con lucro cesante. Dentro de esta discusión, las rentadoras de autos son uno de los sub-sectores con mayor cantidad de no show de la industria pues legalmente en Argentina no existe condición por medio de la cual se pueden procesar multas si la presencia del titular de la tarjeta. Particularmente, defendemos la tesis que el uso de Tecnologías Masivas de Información en la confirmación de servicios genera tasas más amplias de no show por falta de confianza. La información relevada sugiere que no existe reciprocidad entre un consumidor y una terminal informática.
