El Liderazgo De La Empresa Turã Stica Mediante Procesos De Coaching

Abstract

Aunque el sector turístico ha sufrido los efectos de la crisis menos que otros sectores, en la actualidad se ha puesto de manifiesto la necesidad de liderar y dirigir las empresas turísticas utilizando otros métodos. En este contexto las competencias del liderazgo constituyen una alternativa valiosa y para algunos autores es el coaching una de las competencias fundamentales para dirigir a los demás. Teniendo en cuenta esta realidad y que los jóvenes estudiantes del Grado en Turismo serán los que en el futuro liderarán las empresas turísticas, este artículo incluye una revisión teórica del concepto de coaching y también una investigación acerca de las actitudes de los jóvenes hacia el coaching. Utilizando una muestra de 307 estudiantes del Grado en Turismo los resultados ponen de manifiesto que los jóvenes de ambos sexos aceptan plenamente el coaching como método para dirigir las empresas del sector turístico, y que están dispuestos a participar en procesos de coaching.
