Turismo De Natureza Na Calheta (Madeira/Portugal)

Abstract

Este trabalho enfatiza a temática do Turismo de Natureza, explorando o enquadramento teórico com as ideias nucleares sobre o conceito, as modalidades e as escalas de análise nacional e internacional. Através de um estudo de caso, centrado na Calheta (Ilha da Madeira/Portugal), são abordados vários aspetos como a caraterização do território em termos de atratividades e oferta turística, assim como questões e práticas do Turismo de Natureza. Aqui, os percursos pedestres, principalmente os que se integram nas Levadas, são os mais procurados pelos turistas e excursionistas. A realização de um inquérito por questionário permite uma análise exploratória das caraterísticas, motivações e práticas dos utilizadores da Levada do Rabaçal (que configura a oferta mais procurada do Turismo de Natureza da Calheta).
