DE LA LITERATURA DE CAUTIVOS, A LA MOVILIDAD DEL TURISMO: La lógica imperial

Abstract

El presente ensayo intenta cuestionar ciertos mitos alrededor del turismo y la movilidad. A vez nos introduce en el fascinante mundo de la literatura de cautivos, como una forma reificada de poder imperial que dio nacimiento al turismo. Pero se advierte que nuevas formas epistémicas de comparar como se han articulados las prácticas turísticas, acorde a una conciencia turística, en otras sociedades no europeas, pueden ayudar a comprender realmente el fenómeno. En lugar de caer en particularismos que nacen con la modernidad, o que remiten al turismo como una actividad alienadora, nuestro abordaje pretende sentar las bases para la comparación de culturas por medio de sus formas diferentes de conciencia turística.
