Abstract

El turismo en el mundo contemporáneo se presenta o ha presentado como un modelo de desarrollo local en las economías periféricas o países subdesarrollados, sin embargo, esta percepción acerca del modelo debe de ser analizada con el objeto de poder describir e interpretar sus impactos directos e indirectos en las comunidades anfitrionas con el objeto de poder entender la realidad de dicha actividad. Por tanto, en el presente trabajo se analiza la percepción de la población local de Chacala Nayarit, con respecto al desarrollo turístico de la Riviera Nayarit, proyecto hegemónico del gobierno del estado para impulsar el desarrollo regional. Se analizan los resultados obtenidos a través de la aplicación de una encuesta de calidad de vida, entrevistas, y observación de campo, se pudo interpretar como el turismo ha influido en el desarrollo local de la comunidad de Chacala, Nayarit, México.
