Por Um Desenvolvimento Turã Stico: O Planejamento De Campos Do Jordãƒo Em Uma Escala Local/Regional/Global (1950-1960)

Abstract

O presente artigo tem por objetivo mostrar como as políticas públicas e práticas de planejamento influenciaram no desenvolvimento do turismo no município de Campos do Jordão, São Paulo. A escolha desta localidade se deu devido ao município ter sua trajetória ligada a importantes fatos históricos do turismo no estado de São Paulo e no Brasil, dentre eles, ter sediado o I Congresso Nacional de Turismo. Sendo assim, a presente pesquisa, com suas preocupações teórico-metodológicas, pretende auxiliar no aprimoramento da história do planejamento do turismo, apontando os primórdios referentes a estas práticas em uma escala local e regional. Como metodologia, utilizou-se as orientações de pesquisa documental, consultando prioritariamente o acervo oficial da Câmara Municipal de Campos Jordão, dentre outros conjuntos documentais acerca da temática.
