Abstract

Este artigo objetiva verificar como as práticas de sustentabilidade desenvolvidas pelos responsáveis pelo Arquipélago de Fernando de Noronha em Pernambuco, Brasil, são comunicadas aos potenciais turistas via website. Verificou-se ainda se o conteúdo sobre sustentabilidade disponível no portal esta alinhado com os indicadores de prática de gestão sustentável da destinação turística da OMT (2005). Para tanto, o portal oficial desta destinação foi analisado em sua completude. O estudo é de natureza qualitativa e caracteriza-se como descritivo. Observou-se que os indicadores relacionados à sustentabilidade pouco são evidenciados no portal embora as práticas sejam constantes nesta localidade. Por fim, acredita-se que comunicar as ações sustentabilidade aos potenciais visitantes via website pode auxiliar no processo de educação sustentável destes turistas.
