Turismo Idiomático En El Medio Rural: Una Propuesta Para Su Desarrollo Y Comercialización

Abstract

Miles de personas se desplazan a España cada año para sumergirse en su lengua y su cultura. Puesto que esta actividad utiliza los servicios propios del turismo tradicional es considerada un tipo de turismo denominado turismo de idiomas o turismo idiomático. En España existen destinos especializados fuertemente consolidados, frecuentemente urbanos y relacionados con universidades y zonas costeras. Los cambios en los estilos de vida de los urbanitas, cada vez más cercanos al medio rural, hacen que el desarrollo de esta actividad en estas áreas se observe como una oportunidad de mercado. Este artículo ofrece una aproximación a un modelo de desarrollo de esas iniciativas y algunas propuestas para la comercialización de las áreas rurales españolas como destinos de turismo idiomático.
