La Segmentación Por Actividades Como Base Para El Desarrollo De Productos Turísticos

Abstract

El mercado francés ha disminuido en número de arribos a Cuba y Ciudad de La Habana, situación que ha sido motivo de análisis de muchos estudiosos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar las mezclas de actividades que realizan los franceses en sus viajes de larga distancia, para así determinar aquellos productos que pueden ser creados en el destino y constituir la base para su desarrollo de cara a este mercado. En aras de conseguir esto, se aplicó un análisis de componentes principales (ACP) a los resultados de una encuesta realizada a operadores de la AFAT, sobre las actividades que realizan los franceses en sus viajes de larga distancia, para identificar segmentos y caracterizarlos. Los resultados obtenidos fueron comparados con las potencialidades del destino y los productos más consumidos actualmente por este mercado en Ciudad Habana. Se pudo determinar que el destino cuenta con recursos que le permitirían conformar una oferta más variada y ajustada a los perfiles de los turistas franceses que hacen viajes de larga distancia.
