Abstract

En la verborréica literatura del turismo (artículo, monografías, ponencias y libros de texto) abundan los mitos. Siempre lo supe. En Crítica de la economía turística. Enfoque de oferta vs enfoque de demanda (UCM, 1991 tesis doctorales) incluí un capítulo, creo que el último, dedicado a esta peculiar componente del paradigma convencional porque no carece de enjundia. Entonces prometí que algún día me pondría a escribir sobre los mitos con más extensión y tranquilidad pero los días han ido pasando y aun no ha llegado el día prometido. Alguna vez llegará porque no pasa día sin que me tope con algún mito turístico nuevo y así es como va engrosando tan peculiar mitología, que es todo menos clásica. El asunto tiene su enjundia y merece que se le dedique alguna atención.
